Okay, here’s my blog post about installing LVL Basketball maple portable wooden flooring, written from a personal, hands-on perspective:

Alright, so I finally got around to setting up that portable basketball court I’ve been talking about. I went with the LVL Basketball maple flooring, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a project, but totally worth it in the end.

First thing I did was clear out the space. This was probably the easiest part, just moving furniture and making sure I had enough room to work. I wanted a decent-sized court, so I made sure to clear a good chunk of my backyard.

Next, I laid down a vapor barrier. This is super important, you don’t want moisture seeping up from the ground and warping your beautiful new floor. I just used some heavy-duty plastic sheeting and taped it all down securely. Made sure it overlapped a bit at the seams, just to be extra safe.

It came in these big, heavy boxes. I’m not gonna lie, it was a workout just getting them into the backyard. I definitely recommend having a friend help with this part.

I started unpacking the panels. They were all nicely labeled, which was a lifesaver. Each panel had these interlocking edges, kind of like a giant jigsaw puzzle.

  • I began to carefully organize all the panels in sequence.
  • And install them one by one into the space I had set aside.

The installation process itself was pretty straightforward. I just lined up the edges and gave them a good whack with a rubber mallet.  I started in one corner and worked my way across, row by row.

It was a bit tedious, I won’t lie. Lots of kneeling, lining things up, and hammering. I put on some music and just got into a rhythm.

The hardest part was probably dealing with the edges.

I stepped back and admired my handiwork. It looked amazing! The maple was smooth and shiny, and the whole thing felt solid and sturdy. The whole project came to a successful end.

I added the finishing touches – the basketball hoop, some lines for the court.  It felt incredible to be playing on my own court, and the LVL flooring felt fantastic underfoot. Smooth, responsive, and just like a real gym floor.

So, yeah, that’s my experience with the LVL Basketball maple portable wooden flooring.  If you’re thinking about doing something similar, I say go for it! Just be prepared for some hard work, and make sure you have the right tools and a helping hand.
