Alright, let’s talk about this here… whatchamacallit…laminate volleyball engineer board assembly wooden flooring. Sounds fancy, but it ain’t rocket science, ya hear?
What is this stuff anyway?
Well, from what I gather, it’s like this. They take a thin piece of real wood, you know, the kind that looks nice, and stick it on top of some other wood, like plywood. Plywood’s that stuff they use for, well, just about everything in houses these days. It’s layers of wood glued together, real strong like. This way, you get the pretty look of real wood without it costin’ a fortune. And it don’t split and gap as much as that real, thick wood does. That’s what they say, anyways.
Now, they got this other thing, rubber flooring, for volleyball. Sounds kinda bouncy, huh? They say it’s got some special stuff underneath to make it soft when you jump and run around. Keeps you from breakin’ your legs, I guess. They even got some fancy numbers and letters for it, like P1 and P2 and EN 14904. Don’t ask me what that means, it’s all gibberish to me. But it’s gotta be somethin’ important if they’re usin’ all them numbers and such.
What colors can you get?
Well, the young folks these days, they like all sorts of colors. But mostly, I see brown and that off-white color, kinda like milk. There’s this gray color too, that’s been gettin’ popular. I guess it looks alright. But me, I like the brown, looks more like real wood to me. They say this laminate stuff looks like real wood, but I can tell the difference. Still, it’s cheaper and easier to take care of, so I ain’t complainin’.
- Brown: Good old-fashioned wood color. Can’t go wrong with that.
- Off-white: Clean and bright, but shows dirt somethin’ awful.
- Gray: Modern, they say. Looks kinda dull to me, but to each their own.
Why would you choose this laminate stuff?
Well, like I said, it’s cheaper than that real wood. And it’s easier to clean. You just wipe it down and it’s done. No fancy waxes or nothin’ like that. My old floors, you had to scrub and scrub and they still looked dirty. This laminate stuff, it’s a godsend, I tell ya. And it’s tough too. My grandkids, they run around here like wild animals, and this floor holds up pretty good. Can’t say the same for my old furniture, though. Them kids are rough!
Where can you use this stuff?
Well, I seen it in houses, mostly. Living rooms, kitchens, even bedrooms. I guess you could put it anywhere you want a floor. Now this volleyball floor, that’s different. That goes in gyms and places where folks play sports. Not somethin’ you’d put in your house, unless you got a really big house and a bunch of crazy kids who like to play volleyball all day long. I did hear tell of someone putting it in their basement, said it made it warmer and softer for the kids to play on. Sounded like a good idea to me, keep them young’uns from gettin’ hurt.
Is it easy to put in?
Now, I ain’t never put in a floor myself, but I heard it ain’t too hard. They got these planks that snap together, like a puzzle. You don’t even need nails or glue, most of the time. But I’d still get someone who knows what they’re doin’ to do it for me. I’m too old to be crawlin’ around on my hands and knees, tryin’ to fit pieces together. I’d rather sit in my rocking chair and watch someone else do the work. That’s the benefit of getting old, you know. You can make other people do the hard work.
So, there you have it. That’s about all I know about this laminate volleyball engineer board assembly wooden flooring stuff. It ain’t so complicated once you get down to it. Just a bunch of wood stuck together, made to look pretty and last a long time. And that rubber stuff, well, that’s just there to keep you from breakin’ your neck when you’re jumpin’ around.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about floors has made me hungry!
