Okay, here’s my blog post about building a portable basketball court:
Alright, so I’ve been wanting to set up a little basketball area in my backyard for a while, but I didn’t want to pour concrete. Plus, I kinda wanted the option to move it if I ever needed to. That’s when I stumbled upon this idea of a portable wooden basketball flooring, and I thought, “Let’s give this a shot!”
Getting Started
First things first, I had to figure out the size. I didn’t need a full court, just enough space for some shooting practice and maybe a little one-on-one. I measured out the area I had available and decided on a reasonable size. I did a basic draw.
Then came the materials. I needed a bunch of 2x4s for the frame, these would act like the “keel”. After that, I needed plywood for the actual playing surface. Don’t forget a lot of screws, because you’re going to putting this stuff together so that it stays together.
