• And the lines, don’t forget the lines! They gotta be painted on there real good, so everyone can see ’em. And they gotta be the right size too, 50mm they say. I ain’t got no ruler that small, but I reckon they know what they’re doin’.

They also talk about somethin’ called “rubber tree,” but I ain’t sure what that’s all about. Maybe it’s the kinda wood they use, or maybe it’s somethin’ they put underneath the floor to make it softer. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. But it sounds important, so I’m tellin’ ya about it.

And then there’s this FIBA thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Well, it just means that the floor’s been tested and approved by some big shots. They make sure it’s safe and good enough for the pros to play on. They don’t just let any old floor into their games, that’s for sure.

That’s what I know about this here portable wooden basketball floorin’. It’s gotta be tough, flat, firm, and the right size. And it’s gotta be approved by them FIBA folks.
