Okay, so the other day, I decided to tackle a little project at home. I’ve got this area where I wanted to set up a makeshift volleyball practice spot. The floor is just bare timber, which, you know, isn’t the best for diving and all that. I wanted some cushioning.

Finding the Materials

First, I brainstormed a bit.I don’t want use some fancy materials, just find something soft and won’t broken my timber floor.

Then.I searched online for options for cushioning a floor,I got a lot of those interlocking foam mats, the kind you see in gyms or kids’ play areas. Bingo!

Setting Everything Up

I went with some that i found in my home,it’s simple to use.

  • Cleared the space: First, I gotta move everything out of the way.
  • Lay the carpet: roll out the carpet that I found in basement, make sure it fit for my plan.
  • Test: I tried with volleyball, jump and roll, to feel it’s good for playing.

The Result

It’s not professional, obviously, but it’s way better than the bare wood!I feel great to play on it,it’s really protect my knees.

So, yeah, that’s my little DIY * the most exciting, but it’s been useful!
